Arranging a Funeral

To make things easier for you we have put together some packages with the most popular choices that families generally make. These are outlined below.

The simple funeral is the lowest cost funeral package we provide and is a standard specification set out by the National Association of Funeral Directors. The funeral includes the following:

• The Services of your funeral director.
• Provision of necessary funeral arrangements.
• Professional advice on certification and registration of death.
• Collection of the deceased (within a 20 mile radius)
• Any manpower required to complete the funeral.
• A simple coffin suitable for burial or cremation
• A simple white gown.
• A Hearse on the day of the funeral.

This package excludes:

• Use of the chapel of rest and viewing of the deceased.
• Hygienic Treatment. (Embalming)

Traditional Funeral Service

The traditional service includes

• The services of your funeral director.
• Provision of necessary funeral arrangements.
• Professional advice on registration and certification of death.
• Collection of the deceased within a 20 mile radius.
• Hygienic treatment.
• Care of the deceased until the burial or cremation takes place.
• Provision for viewing of the deceased in the chapel of rest.
• Provision of a quality veneered coffin.
• Provision of a hearse and one limousine.

This service is very flexible and can be tailored in many ways however extra charges may apply.

Alternative Funerals and Coffins

Sometimes it is nice for a life to be celebrated in a different or more individual way, whether it be using an alternative vehicle to transport the deceased or an alternative coffin for the deceased. Some of the services we can offer are below, however if you can't see what you want here please ask as we will try our hardest to accommodate even the most unusual requests.

Horse Drawn Hearse

Nothing is more traditional than a horse drawn hearse, imposing belgian black horses with a glass hearse makes a memorable picture. Our carriagemaster can supply 2 or 4 teams with black or white horses, black or white hearses and drapes in different colours and styles including football colours.

Motorcycle Hearse

Motorcycle hearses have been created to cater for the growing number of motorbike enthusiasts. The hearse is a sidecar hearse and is attached to different types of motorcycle.

4x4 Hearse

A new alternative vehicle is the Land Rover hearse. This is a converted Landrover which has been extended and had a deck fitted to the rear to accomodate a coffin.

Alternative Coffins

There are many alternative types of coffins available including the new colourful coffins pictured below. They have lots of different designs or a bespoke image can be created personally for your loved one.
