In Crosby, funeral planning is an emotional benefit for the bereaved as they take the steps of the journey that is a funeral. The process begins with shock and denial. It ends a few days later with an outpouring of love and celebration that honours the life of the deceased. At some point during that time, the grieving family experience acceptance and the first step to healing. The funeral directors are compassionate guides, there to carry out your wishes. Barringtons goal is a funeral that is significant and meaningful to the bereaved. Even their most economical funeral plan is filled with dignity and beauty. Barringtons understand your loved one deserves any extravagance. However, overspending as an expression of your love is misplaced.

Funeral planning in Crosby can only be personalised by the family. The funeral director will guide you with options and fulfil your directives. Only the family knows which directives will result in a fitting tribute for their loved one. It is they who knew the deceased’s heart and life. They know the favourite music, flowers and any religious affiliations. If the unthinkable happens, make Barringtons your first call. They will guide you through this time with compassion and understanding. As independent funeral directors, Barringtons can be as flexible as you need them to be. Very little is outside their realm of possibilities. Consider what your loved one valued and let that be your guide. For assistance with funeral planning, contact Barringtons.

Please make an appointment before visiting our offices. If you are in isolation, shielding  or clinically vulnerable we can still help by using email and the internet. Our Waterloo office is open 9am - 5pm and Formby is currently open 10am - 4pm. There are still lots of ways that we can discuss to make the service personal and involve people from a distance.

Funerals are still taking place but there is a legal limit on attendance at the service of 30 people. Any reception or wake is subject to the current restrictions on hospitality.

Thanks for your understanding. Please don't wait before making arrangements. It's important that we still hold funeral services promptly.

      Thanks very much,

      David and Claire Barrington.
