Funeral Home in Bootle

Funeral Home in BootleYou might look for a funeral home in Bootle that will tell you how funerals are done and how much it will cost to do the funeral. Since you have never arranged a funeral before, you may welcome this take-charge approach and plan according to what funeral directors tell you is expected. After all, you want to do it right. We have a different approach. When you call us to manage the preparations and conduct a funeral service for a loved one, we will give you options. Those options will be based on a few factors. Your budget is an important factor because it’s easy for funeral costs to go over budget. Sometimes people feel if they don’t include all the bells and whistles it amounts to showing disrespect for their loved one. Our family has been in this business a long time and we disagree.

Besides your budget, another factor you should consider is the deceased wishes. In Bootle, funeral home directors and families of the deceased decide more easily if the deceased pre-planned his or her own funeral. When that’s not the case, then we ask you to draw on what you think their wishes would be based on their living personality. Were they flamboyant and popular with people or quiet and unobtrusive? Plan the funeral accordingly and don’t worry about what others think. A small memorial service after cremation with no visitation is perfectly acceptable for an elderly person with a small extended family. It’s also fine no matter what the age or family size. If that’s the funeral you want and the one you think the deceased would have wanted, then do it. Or arrange a moderate or extravagant funeral as you see fit.

The point for our funeral home in Bootle is that it’s your choice. We will be right alongside of you to guide, ask the questions and make suggestions. But when all is said and done, the funeral will be conducted as you see fit and within your budget. A life honouring celebration is different things to different people. Our job is to carry out your wishes within reason and dignity. Contact Barringtons in your time of need. We will handle the paperwork for you and guide you through all the planning steps toward a personalised funeral service of your choice.

We are continuing to offer our service with some limitations to our working to keep you safe and also our team members.

At the moment we prefer to make arrangements remotely over the phone or using video conferencing. If you doesn't work for you, please let us know and we will make arrangements to support you.

Please make an appointment before visiting our offices. If you are in isolation, shielding  or clinically vulnerable we can still help by using email and the internet. We may visit you to sign paperwork or to collect items and we can also complete forms on your behalf or e-sign them using the internet.

Our Waterloo office is open 9am - 5pm and Formby is currently open 10am - 4pm. There are still lots of ways that we can discuss to make the service personal and involve people from a distance.

Funerals are still taking place but there is a legal limit on attendance at the service of 30 people. Any reception or wake is subject to the current restrictions on hospitality.

Thanks for your understanding. Please don't wait before making arrangements. It's important that we still hold funeral services promptly.

      Thanks very much,

      David and Claire Barrington.
