Funeral Director in SouthportA funeral director in Southport is someone you can rely during an emotionally turbulent time. Coping with the passing of a loved one is difficult, and having to prepare and plan the funeral can be overwhelming. We understand the challenge of planning a respectful funeral during this sad time, and our funeral director is available to assist and guide you throughout. Call Barringtons as soon as you need our services and we will assist you during this sad time in your life.

Coping with the death of a close family member is harsh. In Southport, a funeral director can assist you from the moment you place a call to our offices. At the first meeting with the funeral director, the different types of funerals will be discussed. Whether you choose a non-religious funeral, a simple or a traditional funeral, it will be meticulously planned and tailored to your requirements. Our simple funeral includes the help of our funeral director attending to all necessary arrangements. It also includes advice on registration and coroner’s procedures and fees. The simple funeral offers a simple wood effect coffin that is suitable for burial or cremation, as well as a hearse to transfer the deceased from our chapel of rest to the venue for the funeral service and then to the cemetery. The traditional funeral is one of the most popular types of funerals, and this is likely because most people recognise the service. Regardless of the type of funeral service you decide on for your lost loved one, you can be sure that our funeral director will provide the assistance you require.

Use the services of a compassionate and professional funeral director in Southport to plan your loved one’s funeral. As an independent, family-run business, we are committed to family values, and as such, we aim to ensure that all the funerals we assist in planning are relevant and completely personal. When you need the guidance of a funeral director, contact Barringtons. We are also aware that the choice of a funeral car plays a large role in the funeral experience. We can offer a range of traditional vehicles to transport your loved one and their family on the final journey.

Thanks for visiting our website. We are still open for business during the current Coronavirus Crisis.

We are continuing to offer our service with some limitations to our working to keep you safe and also our team members.

At the moment we prefer to make arrangements remotely over the phone or using video conferencing. If you cannot do it this way please let us know and we will make arrangements to support you.

Please make an appointment before visiting our offices. If you are in isolation or shielding we can still help by using email and the internet. We may visit you to sign paperwork or to collect items and we can also complete forms on your behalf or e-sign them using the internet.

Our Waterloo office is open 9am - 5pm and Formby is currently open 10am - 4pm.

Funerals are still taking place but there is a legal limit on attendance at the service of 30 people. You may also arrange a wake or funeral reception for 15 people. There are also lots of options that we can discuss to make the service personal and involve people from a distance.

Thanks for your understanding. Please don't wait before making arrangements. It's important that we still hold funeral services promptly.

      Thanks very much,

      David and Claire Barrington.
