Funeral Arrangements in Litherland

Funeral Arrangements in LitherlandWe offer our condolences if you are in need of funeral arrangements in Litherland. It means you have just lost someone very dear to you. We understand the difficult time you are going through and will offer our undivided support for you and your family. Deciding what kind of funeral you require can be difficult and our funeral directors will spend time with you discussing the various options. The traditional Victorian funeral that was beloved by many for the last century is still popular but there are many items that can be added or taken away to make the funeral truly personal.

Losing a family member is a very stressful and traumatic affair. In Litherland, funeral arrangements are part of our service to the community. We design the funeral for the relatives so that they can have a meaningful and dignified farewell for their beloved family member. Our team will find out exactly what you want and make the arrangements accordingly. You may want a church service with the coffin at the church or you may require a private cremation with a memorial service. One of the first things our funeral director will ask the family is whether they require a religious ceremony or non-religious funeral. People even choose to have a cremation and a celebration of life memorial. It is all about the wishes of the nearest and dearest that count in a funeral. There is no right way or wrong way to hold a funeral.

We offer many different types of funeral arrangements in Litherland. Contact Barringtons as soon as you have need of our services. We are a family run funeral service who is committed to traditional values. This does not mean we only provide traditional funerals as there are as many types of funerals as there are customers. Each funeral is unique and is relevant and has meaning for the family of the deceased. We offer transport, normally a hearse and limousines for the family, we even have a horse-drawn carriage which can be used for the coffin and we can arrange a motorcycle hearse if the relatives wish.

      Coronavirus Virus Update

Thanks for visiting our website. We are open to support you during the current Coronavirus Crisis.

We are continuing to offer our service with some limitations to our working to keep you safe and also our team members.

At the moment we prefer to make arrangements remotely over the phone or using video conferencing. If you doesn't work for you, please let us know and we will make arrangements to support you.

Please make an appointment before visiting our offices. If you are in isolation, shielding  or clinically vulnerable we can still help by using email and the internet. We may visit you to sign paperwork or to collect items and we can also complete forms on your behalf or e-sign them using the internet.

Our Waterloo office is open 9am - 5pm and Formby is currently open 10am - 4pm. There are still lots of ways that we can discuss to make the service personal and involve people from a distance.

Funerals are still taking place but there is a legal limit on attendance at the service of 30 people. Any reception or wake is subject to the current restrictions on hospitality.

Thanks for your understanding. Please don't wait before making arrangements. It's important that we still hold funeral services promptly.

      Thanks very much,

      David and Claire Barrington.
