Funeral Arrangements in Sefton

Funeral Arrangements in SeftonOur caring and helpful funeral directors will assist in making funeral arrangements in Sefton for a deceased family member. We will first talk you through registering the death and answer any questions you may have. Once you have received the documentation from the registrar we can begin to arrange the funeral. There are many different funerals available and the choice is a very personal one. We can offer a traditional funeral which follows the Victorian idea of a proper funeral. It entails having the funeral in a church and is followed by the burial of the deceased.  The coffin is usually placed in the church during the service. The service is directed by a church minister normally known to the family and eulogies are delivered by close friends and family.

Modern funerals are becoming more popular as people choose to celebrate the life of the deceased. In Sefton, funeral arrangements for a modern funeral usually entail a memorial service with a cremation. he cremation can be private with only the family attending or we can arrange it for you. The memorial can be held in a chapel or a hall and often has no religious connotations. Although this type of funeral is simple it is also dignified and respectful as all funerals should be.

We can offer many different types of funeral arrangements in Sefton. Contact Barringtons as soon as you need our services and we will respond immediately. We are a family run business that is committed to traditional values. Our team of funeral directors have numerous years of experience in helping bereaved families with funeral arrangements. They offer continuity of care to the family and wherever possible the person that arranges the funeral will also supervise the funeral on the day. We suggest you keep our number handy so that you can get immediate help when you so desperately need it. Death is always unexpected even when a family member is very ill and having someone to call will remove some of the stress that is always present in tragic circumstances.

Thanks for visiting our website. We are open to support you during the current Coronavirus Crisis.

We are continuing to offer our service with some limitations to our working to keep you safe and also our team members.

At the moment we prefer to make arrangements remotely over the phone or using video conferencing. If you doesn't work for you, please let us know and we will make arrangements to support you.

Please make an appointment before visiting our offices. If you are in isolation, shielding  or clinically vulnerable we can still help by using email and the internet. We may visit you to sign paperwork or to collect items and we can also complete forms on your behalf or e-sign them using the internet.

Our Waterloo office is open 9am - 5pm and Formby is currently open 10am - 4pm. There are still lots of ways that we can discuss to make the service personal and involve people from a distance.

Funerals are still taking place but there is a legal limit on attendance at the service of 30 people. Any reception or wake is subject to the current restrictions on hospitality.

Thanks for your understanding. Please don't wait before making arrangements. It's important that we still hold funeral services promptly.

      Thanks very much,

      David and Claire Barrington.
